Evija & Linards Goldšteini
You’ve probably seen Linards and Evija lighting up the floor at Riga Swings Back! This time, they’re stepping into the spotlight to share their knowledge and passion with you.
We’re so proud to call them one of our local teaching couples! Linards brings a deep understanding of the science of movement and physics, while Evija adds a lifetime of experience across various dance styles, creating a truly inspiring partnership both on and off the dance floor.

Oļegs Podoļskis
Oļegs Podoļskis has been dancing Contact Improvisation since 2010, learning from both Latvian and international teachers, participating in numerous international CI festivals, and having the opportunity to teach CI classes both locally and abroad.
He says: while still a beginner Modern Swing dancer, I am excited to share my Contact Improvisation experience and explore how swing and CI can complement each other.
Contact Improvisation is a dance form rooted in full body improvised movement. We will explore some of the basic principles of CI – connection, distance and weight. This class will offer you new ways to enhance your Modern Swing dancing.
Darja Krizska-Popova
Darja is a certified art therapist with specialization in dance and movement therapy, a board member of the Latvian Association of Art Therapy Associations.
Her daily work is “about and around” movement and building and strengthening the relationship with your body, about awareness of yourself and your body. She works as a dance and movement therapist in a hospital, in spare time teaches Zouk and stage movement in a youth theater studio.
